The Security Team plays a vital role in protecting that environment.
We are currently seeking a Security Coordinator who has a heart for people, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to creating safe and secure environments where ministry can thrive. This role is an opportunity to develop leaders, build a culture of preparedness, and help ensure The Tabernacle Church remains a place where people can encounter God without distraction or concern.

Purpose
The Security Coordinator provides leadership, vision, and oversight for the Security Ministry by developing Security Coaches, recruiting volunteers, implementing safety procedures, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all guests, members, volunteers, and staff.
Responsibilities
Lead and Develop Leaders
Care for People
Recruit and Grow the Team
- Recruit, train, and develop Security Coaches.
- Meet regularly with Coaches for encouragement and leadership development.
- Identify and mentor future leaders within the ministry.
- Equip Coaches to effectively lead and care for their teams.
- Ensure security positions are properly staffed for services and events.
- Maintain security procedures and ministry standards.
- Coordinate service coverage and security assignments.
- Review and improve safety protocols as needed.
- Partner with church leadership regarding safety and preparedness initiatives.
Care for People
- Pray for and encourage Coaches and team members.
- Build meaningful relationships within the team.
- Celebrate volunteer contributions and team successes.
- Provide support during challenging situations.
- Foster a culture of honor, accountability, and teamwork.
Recruit and Grow the Team
- Lead recruitment efforts for the Security Team.
- Identify volunteers with leadership potential.
- Help onboard and train new team members and coaches.
- Ensure the ministry remains healthy, engaged, and growing.
- Coordinate ongoing training opportunities.
- Ensure volunteers understand safety procedures.
- Support emergency response planning.
- Help create a culture of readiness without creating a culture of fear.

- Security positions are consistently staffed.
- Volunteers are equipped and prepared to serve.
- Safety procedures are understood and followed.
- Guests and members feel safe and comfortable.
- Future leaders are being identified and developed.

Minimum Qualifications
✅ Be a committed follower of Jesus Christ
✅ Regularly attend The Tabernacle Church
✅ Support the vision, values, and leadership of The Tabernacle Church
✅ Demonstrate spiritual maturity and servant leadership
✅ Have completed the TAB Leadership Course or currently be enrolled and actively participating in the Leadership Course
✅ Be willing to continue growing through leadership development opportunities
✅ Be able to exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality
